I’ve been teaching dance at Canyon View High School for 16 years. A mother of five, originally from Huntington, Utah. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Performance with a minor in Theatre from SUU. Where I later became an adjunct professor. As I began working toward becoming a teacher at CVHS I also receiving my education license and physical education endorsement. For three years I also had the privilege of teaching both the dance and theater programs at CVHS. Currently a board member for the CVCT and UDEO. I was selected to dance select works of José Limón under the direction of Risa Steinberg from Juilliard. I have trained in multiple styles/genres of dance, competitive gymnastics and have performed with several companies and in extraordinary venues. Some include Jazz & Raiders games, Disneyland, Hollywood studios, Knott’s Berry Farm, Arabesque Ballet Company, Ballet Repertory Dance Company, Eagle dancers, Orchesis Modern Company, Cedar City Junior Ballet, a principal dancer for St. George Dance Co., and most recently with AlambradoDanza as a dancer/choreographer in Florence Italy. I love teaching, performing, and sharing dance with others. This year I produced, choreographed and was the artistic director for the first community Nutcracker for Cedar City. CVHS dance department has been growing in amazing ways to give more dancers opportunities to learn and grow, CVHS is a NHSDA secondary chapter school where our dancers can become members of a dance organization on a national level. Don’t wait for the right opportunity, create it!
